“Get down and dirty with this sexy blue collar bundle featuring seven contemporary romance novellas that range from sweet to sizzling. (Estimated word count is 200,000).”

KNOCKOUT – Cari Quinn
Emerson, Lily and JC are attracted to one another but how they manage to work through things to get from attraction to a relationship that involves all three of them is quite a story!

HOT SUMMER NIGHTS - Cathy Clamp
Sophie and Gabe have co-inherited a property but also have instant chemistry. The characters have different backgrounds, expectations and hopes for the future but might be able to work together to achieve more than either originally thought possible.

MARKED FOR LOVE - Anna J. Stewart
Regan has been working hard to keep her family together. Brodie is a single parent with a 5 year old, a new tattoo parlor and hopes for the future. Regan and Brodie have quite a few hurdles to overcome before they reach a compromise that works for all involved.

KNOTTY MAGIC – Jodi Redford
Tully has been attracted to Huck for decades but he has never seen her as he should have. A magic tree might be able to change things for both of them if Huck opens his mind to what he considers the impossible.

AGAINST THE WALL – Amie Stuart
Lexi is a strong woman who knows what needs to be done on the job site and what she likes to do with her time away from work. Wade, working with her, throws a monkey wrench into her life and makes her reassess some things she thought were set in stone. Fun read – truly enjoyed it!

UNASHAMED -- Leah Braemel
Hayley likes the work that Max and Noah do helping her flip houses. Quite a bit changes for all of them once they learn what one of Hayley’s fantasies is and then agree to help her fulfill it.

LOVE IN AN ELEVATOR – Chudney Thomas
Mica and Cam get off to a rough start but find one another mutually attractive in spite of their diverse backgrounds. Mica’s ability to eventually assert herself is essential to their happily ever after.

This is an interesting mix of stories that tell of blue collar men and women that meet their match(es). The stories range from sweet to very steamy. A few left me wanting more or ended abruptly. This is a nice compilation that will provide plenty of reading enjoyment.

Thank you to Net Galley and Victory Editing for the copy of this anthology to read and review.

This book was much better than the novella Private Property (Hauberk Protection, #1). In fact it was the best, most believable set up for a manage I've yet read!! Very buyable story! It was well written too, however....

I had a few issues.
1. There were typos.

2. There were story discrepancies...
At one point in the tale DIllon moved all of Niki's horses over to his land by cutting a whole in the fence they shared. Then he patched it up so that it was unbreachable again. "Dillon shot him a smug grin. “I just cut a hole in the fence between our places and led them through.” They’d debated putting a gate in place of the hole when they were finished. While he’d argued—and won—that it might be too tempting to Phil to just open the gate and lure the horses back onto her land, he’d secretly wanted to make it harder for Nikki to move back to her place." Yet, later in the book Niki opens the gate to ride her horse back home!

3. For most of the book Dillon is in charge, then suddenly Brett is the dominant?

4. My biggest peeve though was in the phone conversation between her and her brother. He stole everything but the kitchen sink from her, opened 19 credit cards in her name, stole every penny she had. After mooching off of her for half a year. Then he calls her to bail him out of jail and here is the conversation:

“Bail?” He had the balls to call and ask for money after all he’d done? ... “Where do you expect me to get money, Phil? You cleaned out my bank account, remember?”

(Starts out well enough...)

“Come on, Nik. I’m your brother. You have to help me out. We’re family.”... “You know what, Phil? I am going to help you. I’m going to help you learn to stand on your own two feet for once. You got yourself into this mess, Phillip Timothy Kimball, so you are going to accept the consequences. You’re going to stay there, face the judge and plead guilty. You’re going to do whatever sentence he gives you, and you’re not going to phone me looking for money ever again. You’re going to find a job, and you’re going to pay back every cent you stole from me.”
“You can’t mean that—”
“Yeah, I do. It’s called taking responsibility for your own actions... She clutched the receiver, her palms sweaty. In her heart, she knew she was doing the right thing,

(Ok, right there, what the fuck! that whole speech there, makes me want to smash her head into the wall. WTELF (what the every-loving fuck - for those who don't know.) Could she be any more spineless and forgiving?!...)

but it took all her courage to say what she’d been thinking all these years.

(don't get excited, it doesn't get good from here, but continues on this weakassed, "oh! He took my can of coke... and DRANK it!!" crap. He fucking robbed her blind, she acts as if he took her bicycle without permission!!!!!!!!!)

“Nik, you gotta help me out here.”
If he sounded more desperate instead of annoyed, she might have been tempted to help him. “No, Phil. When I took you in, you promised you’d help me with the horses, yet you didn’t do a damned thing around here. I worked hard for that money. I scrimped and saved for every single penny, for every single bale of hay for the horses. I paid your doctor bills when you broke your hand in that bar fight, even though I needed the money to pay the next month’s mortgage.... You ate my food and watched my cable. I always found a way to excuse you because you’re my brother, and I thought I was helping you. But the first time I turned my back, the first time I left you alone, you took everything from me and sold it so you could go gamble at the track or buy your next snort of coke. You didn’t give a damn about whether I could pay for the roof over my head or feed my horses. Because everything has to be all about you and what you want, the hell with me and everyone else.”
“So I made a couple bad decisions in a moment of weakness—”
“Moment of weakness?” Incredulous, she snorted at his gall.... "

(Give me a fuckin brake!!!!!!!!)

5. Even though the set up was really well done as far as believability and very good time frame... the whole focus was on their inner turmoil and sufferings! How is that romantic or erotic?? I was too busy feeling sorry for them to be turned on by them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. Speaking of time frames, they've all known each other since they were teenagers, and yet Dillon's dad says "Get to know her and make sure she’s what you want before you get in any deeper." He's been getting to know her for 10 years! How much gettin' to know you time does a person need?

7. Private Property had some great, sexy, male-dominace lines! They were really hot, but the story was a total dud (imo), I'd hoped maybe this one would have that same speak, but a better story. And though it did have a better story (more character development) it lacked the tummy clenchers the other had. Bummer!

But even with all those issues, I still enjoyed the book. I am glad I didn't totally give up on the author!

This was a good story. It had substance in dealing with some of the darker issues of a permanent threesome. I liked that Braemel addressed the issues instead of skirting them.

I really enjoyed all three characters. They were all different, yet they complimented each other perfectly.

Overall a good western erotic story. The focus was on the main characters and their romance, so the subplot took a backseat. That was ok until the end, where I felt like Braemel just tossed out a few sentences to wrap things up.

That aside, I liked the dynamic between the 3. Generally it's all about the woman in menage stories, so having the two men together first made for an interesting change.

I was bothered by all the misunderstandings. I'm just glad Braemel didn't drag them out.… (altro)
