Oh my God, if Illusions changed my everyday life, this book, changed MY ENTIRE WORK LIFE! Suzette Boyd's book has helped me change the profile of the library at our school from "that place with books" to the LIBRARY. This book helped me to change my perception of what the library could be and consequently other people's perceptions changed. Mechanisms such as regular newsletter columns, competitions for students, subject guides, suggestion books, surveys, library-based clubs and so on are highlighted by Suzette in a straightforward and easy to understand way. There was never any question in my mind that, as the only librarian in the library, I could implement the changes and once I started, more ideas came to me. Cannot recommend this book highly enough to help you raise the profile of your library within the school!… (altro)
