Dawn French: The Unauthorized Biography di Alison Bowyer
Interesting and entertaining - a quick read.
Fairly favourable and friendly towards DS, but I presume not an authorised biography as seems to be based on information in the public domain plus interviews with some people who know/knew her. Interesting to know more about her background and hadn't realised she was so religious and was writing books on this during the 1980s, but as a reader I ended up feeling slightly 'voyeuristic' at times. It was enlightening to see which chefs were reported as being supportive towards her and which were not. So, in summary, reasonably readable but somehow not a particularly comfortable read as you sometimes felt it was talking about things she would have preferred to keep private.… (altro)
One of the most tedious biographies I have ever read. Very dull and unrevealing.
