Despite the barriers, churches are finding effective metrics of soul transformation. Many Christian organizations are unclear about what data is meaningful to their ministry. A chief struggle is the common confusion between inputs and outputs. Simply defined outputs are the results produced by a given organization or process. Inputs are what the process starts with or what it uses along the way. The old church scorecard keeps us from participating in the missional renaissance. Leadership is leadership no matter what the setting. Giving your "all" to a given task, learning everything you can about your organization: these are certainly not only applicable to church leadership. Perhaps there is no "eureka" moment described in these pages. But perhaps we sometimes need to take stock of our work ethic, and to have underscored our strengths and weaknesses. Indexed.
