I can't say enough good things about this book! The author painted an incredible picture, making me feel like I was there in the room with Alexi and Matt throughout the entirety of the story. I loved learning about Matt's background, why he was the way he was, and exploring the supernatural world with him. Likewise, I really enjoyed Alexi's perspective as well, and seeing his passion for learning. The author really shows WHY these two work so well together, and their chemistry was off the charts. The world building is fantastic, with the history and the wars and the prejudices that exist toward shadow demons. I'm so glad I picked up this book & can't wait for the next installment!… (altro)
