Vera Bohle

While this is not a very well written book, the story Vera Bohle has to tell is amazing. Working as a journalist in Germany, she decides to leave her job and start a new career after doing a piece on a school for mine cleaning. As a woman, and someone with a decidedly non-military background, she is the odd one out in this profession, and has constantly to overcome adversions, and attemps to block the work by local politicians.
A worthwhile read for everybody that wants to know what happens after the armies have left.… (altro)
