Blanton, Bod. Delphi Diversion. Delphi in Space No. 12. Kindle, 2021.
Catie is still trying to balance her diplomatic duties as a princess with her love of commanding a fighting starship. Both the military situations and the diplomatic environment are becoming more complex. A new development is some long-ago transplanted Greeks, complete with a handsome prince to woo Catie. The series continues to be mildly entertaining, which is all it tries for. 3 stars.

Blanton, Bob. Delphi Embassy. Delphi in Space No. 11. Kindle, 2021.
In Bob Blanton’s Delphi Embassy Catie trades in her starship captain’s uniform for her princess dress, mirroring Miles Vorkosigan’s transition from a mercenary fleet commander to an interstellar diplomat. There is not much of a story arc, so the series still seems in jogging mode. But here is a caveat: reading Bob Blanton’s Delphi Embassy at the same time I am rereading some of Lois McMaster Bujold is not fair to Bob. You might want to distrust my three-star rating.… (altro)

Blanton, Bob. Delphi League. Delphi in Space No. 10. Kindle, 2021.
A few bright people with good intentions create a utopian island nation that dominates the world economy and evolves into a multispecies interstellar league in less than a decade. Such is the premise of the Delphi in Space series. It’s fun if you can suspend your disbelief. Delphi League is a transitional book in the series. It does not move the story arc very far, but it is fun to watch Catie grow into her princess role. A popcorn read. 3 stars.… (altro)

This book started out alright and has an interesting premise, but it was rather difficult to get through. The dialogue is wooden, the characters pretty bland, a bunch of scenes simply could have, and should have been left out. There's a few instances of things being more or less repeated unnecessary. Catie, the teenager is a mary sue of a character and over all the story has little to do with the starship or the premise established in the first chapter. There's little world building, and events just fall in place for the protagonists.

I finished it more because I don't like to leave a book unfinished and had hoped it would get better, it did not. Also at one point 3D printers were mentioned and spelt as three-D.
