Remember those high school days where you ran with a group--maybe the "in" crowd, the "plain jane" crowd, or even the footballl/cheerleader crowd? You thought you all would be friends forever after you got out of school. Nine times out of ten, it's just a pipe dream. Then there's that one time where it actually does happen--Timeless Friendships is that one time.

This is a very quick read--I did it in an hour. The main reason it is so quick is that there really is not in-depth character development. You don't really get to know and empathize with the characters. The author barely covers a topic and then moves on. When John and Hanna got engaged, it was a total of 6 lines. In my opinion, that was an important subject. In addition, the topics kind of jumped from one to the other without some sort of time frame. For instance, on the first break from college, you assume it is during their freshman year yet the conversations appear that they are in their senior year--full of internships, discussion jobs, and even "the wedding" after graduation. But then they all go back to school. It was very confusing & I had to read it a couple times to figure it out.

I'd give this a 2 1/2 star but since the system is only in whole stars, I'll go with the 3. Just because it made me reminisce about my own high school friendships so many years ago.
