There is so much to love about this book: I loved Indie (at first), I loved her clothes, I loved her hair, her tattoos, the fact that she was a plus sized fetish model. I was so excited about Indie being so different than a typical romance heroine.
What bothered me the most about this book was...the lack of tension and the overly fast pace of everything.
Banner (the hero) didn't have to work for anything. He meets Indie and decides he wants her. He offer her a three day submissive agreement and she says yes with very little thought. Being a fetish model she knows about the BDSM scene but she's never participated in BDSM in any way. So that put her on par with the typical romance reader who knows people in the life. Taking it from that point...*grrrr* it bothered me that she said yes so quick. I decided to give the book some leeway for this point because Banner is a star, especially in Indie's other field (culinary). It popped up again later and then it became more of a problem. Banner decides to take Indie to a play party on Day 2. She's new. She's so new to the scene that she still has the shiny on her. But Banner pulls some OOT scene on her and upset her. She gets upset (and rightfully so IMO) but Banner wins her over with a couple of words rather quickly in the end. There was no tension and that made what could have been a great book into an ok book.
ETA: I'm going to work on this review some. But I can say that I really wanted to see a merge of the Indie personas. I saw Indie and I saw Indie the submissive. I didn't see the two merge.… (altro)
