Let me start by bringing attention to this glorious cover. That drew me in before I noticed who the author was. I immediately clicked once I saw that the author was an author from my home state. I'll always support those!
Good characters and storyline. At times, I wanted more of the story fleshed out. This had a great epilogue though which made me happy.

U story made me feel all the feels. Love hurts. It is messy.. Yet, it is the greatest thing to ever be experienced. Poor Marlee has not had the easiest life. She's had to go through love twice. I admire her fortitude because I'm not sure that I could have done it. Jed. Sweet lord. I loved him. I loved Fender. I wanted to know more about Caleb and what happened to him. He deserves someone too and to have his story told.

Very different series and writing style than I remember this author having. I still enjoyed it though and am looking forward to the next in the series of standalones.

Heartbreaking, poignant, and powerful are the first three things that come to mind when I think of this story. It wasn't easy to read but it also was if that even makes sense. This is a sad topic but the author handled it with grace and care. The beauty came from watching the healing.
I wanted a bit more in regards to what had happened. I felt like the town such as June, Veronica, and Led should have had more coming to them. It just seemed anticlimactic. I needed someone else to be held accountable.… (altro)
