Jeffrey Bell (1) (1943–2018)

Jeffrey Langley Bell was born in Washington, D. C. on December 13, 1943. He served with the Army in Vietnam. He received a bachelor's degree in English literature from Columbia University in 1965. During his lifetime, he was the Capitol Hill director of the American Conservative Union, the mostra altro president of the Manhattan Institute, the policy director of the American Principles Project, and the president of the economic and political consulting company Lehrman Bell Mueller Cannon. He wrote two books entitled Populism and Elitism: Politics in the Age of Equality and The Case for Polarized Politics: Why America Needs Social Conservatism.
