This is a fun book of creativity and imagination. The kids will be captivated by the fairy-tale feel of the story. It makes you want to have a magic cloth and travel with Tom. This is also a great book to teach the days of the week. I’m going to read this story to my preschoolers to help them understand the days of the week.

I think this book is great for young preschoolers, so you could have them practice their cutting skills by cutting out a piece of their own magic cloth from a big role of old fabric you bring to class. You could also have them draw a picture of the magic places they go. Have them draw one for every day of the week and write the day on each drawing.… (altro)
