This a great book to read to kids. This book shows the power of love has power to make the smallest things become the biggest.
This book is about Clifford, Cleo, and T-bone. They all go to play tag when suddenly Cleo cries out for help. However, when Clifford and T-bone got to her she was laughing and said "fooled you!" They tell Cleo that it is not funny and then they all three go off to swim in the pond. Clifford and T-bone jump in the water when again they hear Cleo yelling for help. Once again, when they get to her she is just laughing. Finally, Clifford and T-bone walk away and this time when Cleo yells for help they do not come to her rescue. The only problem is that this time she actually did need their help. The book goes on to show that if you always lie, when you are actually in trouble no one will believe you.

Clifford has been washed up for the Dog of the Year competition, and told to stay clean, but he gets very dirty digging a huge bone. He runs to the dock and finds out the judge is stuck in the fog, so he tows her in and wins Dog of the Year, anyway.
