This book was a great start for me. Once i learned i was Irish i really got into celtic designs after looking up history of Irish heritage. This book was awesome!

There are lots of books that illustrate Celtic Art...George Bain illustrates how to do it. Take a space in a design, use the Principles of Construction outlined and fill with amazing loops and whorls, keys and spirals...Mantles, Jewel Cases & Panels have all gotten the treatment and are always among the 1st things to disappear at Festival. My copy fell apart from use and it's rebound form is never far from my hand in the studio. Celtic Art was among the many lost artistic techniques...J Romilly Allen's early inspiration and George Bain share much of the credit for Celtic Art's revival...… (altro)
