Having read a condensed version of this on the Chapters Interactive Stories App in 2019, I wanted to read the real thing. Nothing compares to Chapters’ cover for it – seriously, it is absolutely gorgeous, rel="nofollow" target="_top">see for yourself here.I preferred the app version of the story more.

Don’t get me wrong. I liked the idea of the plot, the spice was excellent, but this wasn't my cup of tea. I think what happened here was the spice became the plot instead of being a single aspect of it. This is fine if that’s what you like, but it lacked depth.

I haven’t much to say about the characters. I felt sorry for Rita, at times rooting for her. But the moment she did *that* to Jasper? nope.… (altro)

Most readers understand that the plot is usually not the primary factor in determining whether one enjoys a romance novel. It's about the feelings and the characters and all that. Sometimes a handy plot device is just the thing that moves us all toward that Happily Ever After, most romance fans will just roll with it. Sometimes, however, the plot device strains credulity just a little too much, especially when the backstory just doesn't match with the character's contemporary actions. Such is the case here, unfortunately, which is really the only reason this book gets only 4 stars. Other than that, it's a delightful read, with characters you'll root for, and, yes, all the feelings.
