I would like to start by congratulating Rana Ayyub on her investigative journalism. This requires courage, and she has plenty of it.

One of the aspects of the book that I like, is that Rana Ayyub does not seem to keep interpreting the conversations. She has presented them as they are. She also does not pass judgement on the people she has interviewed.

Rana Ayyub is not the best writer, but this is not relevant. She has done some excellent reporting, and has proven to be honest and brave. We should have more journalists like her.

Will this book make a big difference in how politics in India is conducted? Sadly, no.

This is a brave brave book... The silence surrounding the book is a reason enough to believe in it's integrity. And more so because the interviews actually join the dots of little snippets that we already know... Sharp Journalism at its best..

I have followed the author's work for sometime now. Her reporting is spot on and she writes really well. I am quite surprised that the author managed to pull this off - she is very gutsy indeed.

I did not find anything new or surprising about the revelations - the politician-police nexus is one that has existed for very long and is one of the reasons riots and other law and order issues happen regularly in India.

The book does raise some serious concerns. If proven in courts of law, they could make life a little more miserable for those mentioned in the book.

In sum, a good read. The book could have been better edited though.
