Alexei Varlamov

There's a kernel of an interesting novel in Купол, which might be a book about coming to terms with one's ordinary life and place of residence after failure, but it sure didn't work for me. Call me crazy but I have trouble reading books without dialogue. There's almost none here, and the first-person narrative voice verges on pedantic. I quit at 133 pages, sorry that Varlamov never brought his situations and people to life.
