There are a lot of rare & interesting photos of the pioneering days of Australia within the pages of this book. Unfortunately the great array of photography is let down by the rather lacklustre openings to each chapter, that whilst full of facts, are rather dull.

I regularly have difficulty getting to sleep; reading this book in bed was like getting hit in the head with a house brick. Nearly instant unconsciousness.
