Honestly, what is not to like about this book? I stumbled across this not knowing it was part of a series, and I adore a series where individual stories can be read as a standalone! It was easy to read yet descriptive, and I love getting both points of view because it adds so much depth to the characters. And oh Della, she is my favourite person ever! She has been through literal hell and comes out so strong and confident. Tucker is a whole green flag.
I love chapter 17, when she has a panic attack in front of Tucker and she feels self-conscious about her nightlight because she deems it infantile to need one, but it doesn't matter to him as long as she feels safe "If you need it, then you need it. Hell, if you need the sun in the room to sleep at night, I’ll pluck it out of the sky for you and hang it over there in the corner." my heart! And then they both open up to each other about their past. It was such a pure moment. And then the Tinder profile moment at the end where Tucker makes things up to her.… (altro)
