Beer Money (A Burr Ashland Mystery, #1) di Dani Amore
I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This was a great novel, and the characters were amazing. The scenes were quite descriptive, to give you the “I’m there” feeling. The story starts off with a murder and the immediate reason was a bit baffling until you get to the end. It truly had a, “Wow, I didn’t see this coming!”, moment. I was completely engrossed from start to finish. I loved the main character PI Burr Ashland, and felt really bad for him when things kept happening to people in his circle. I look forward to many more novels in this series!… (altro)
This was a decent story. The characters weren't fleshed out enough for my taste, but a pleasant enough way to while away a couple of hours. Didn't do enough for me that I will read any of his others though. The most unusual thing about the book was that the PI was happily married which was kind of refreshing. I don't remember reading many PI stories that included a healthy relationship.
Enjoyed this fast mystery. The main character was funny but slightly too sarcastic even for me. I would read more books in this series.
