In My Kitchen: 100 Recipes and Discoveries for… di Ted Allen

This book is infused with Ted Allen's personality. I went to a talk and book signing when I picked up this book so I got to hear Ted talk about it but even if I hadn't this book would have been a hit with me because it seems that Ted's palate is very similar to mine. So many of these recipes appealed to me I ended up reading half the stories from the book aloud to my husband just because I couldn't help myself (or deny how "me" so many of the recipes came out). This is a great book, full of kitchen projects and culinary adventures that will appeal to the confident home cook and anyone else who likes to lose themselves in their kitchen for a while.… (altro)

In My Kitchen: 100 Recipes and Discoveries for… di Ted Allen

This author and cookbook is part of the explosion of fusion cooking in the US due to greater exposure via cable and the internet. Filled with beautiful porn-shot style pictures of food, it seems a good simple cookbook to travel with if you are to stay in country for a month or to keep a bored palate at bay in the US.

I love Allen's take- this is a cookbook for people who want to cook and don't mind spending some time in the kitchen. It might be more time and more ingredients than I have on most days, but would be perfect for weekend cooking or a special occasion.

The Food You Want to Eat: 100 Smart, Simple Recipes di Ted Allen

pretty good. More focused on recipes than I like, but most of the recipes seem pretty good. They certain do seem smart and simple. I'm tempted to get it for my own bookshelf. I wish there'd been a few more shots of the food and less of Ted Allen, as I'm more likely to cook the food than have to play a game of "What's in Ted's closet?".
