Time travel and Samuel Clemens and thoughtful writing: I cannot ask for more.

History professor develops an odd ability to go back in time, and attempts to rescue the Tsar of Russia from the Bolsheviks. Pretty good adventure, but claims to be a first novel, and the writing shows it.

A good, quick, easy read - plenty of tension. Because of a genetic phenomenon, historian, Alex Balfour travels in time.As did his father. In this book, Alex goes back to 1876 and the world exposition in Philadelphia and the Battle of the Little Big Horn.He meets Custer and then teams up with Mark Twain. Meanwhile his girlfriend Molly, a reporter for the New York Times, has her own adventures trying to get a story on an Indian gone berserk. A pretty good book.

Alex Balfour goes back in time to WWII, with Pearl Harbor and the war in the Pacific. He is faced with trying to stop us from dropping the atomic bomb. He meets Einstein, FDR & JFK and Amelia Earhart. His girlfriend, Molly, is doing a story on biochemical warfare and goes to Japan to get her scoop. this was a pretty good, quick read, but I found the ending very dissatisfying.
