As a long-time book-publishing person now working in electronic projects, I was inspired by the concept of using off-hours to pursue hobbies or take a path toward a new career. The book In Transition, also recommends this strategy in the concept of career changers. Alboher profiles people who do something on the side. Speaking, writing, consulting are common directions. She uses the concept of a main, stable or "anchor" job, and then orbit "jobs" or say money-generating activities. A good metaphor and a summary of the book's main ideas.
