Peter Albano (1922–2006)

Very good conclusion to this good action oriented series. Albano's knowledge of WW2 and post year's weapons, tactics and strategies made for very realistic action scenes. Hooray for Kindle for reviving this series that was generally overlooked.

The saga of the Yonaga continues. Kadaffi unleashes another sadistic killer and Brent finds a new love. Battle scenes are still the strength of this series sand continue to provide most of its attraction.

Women still distract Brent and create a disruption in the interminable peace negotiations. Yoshi's luck with women continues to be fatal for then. But two Israeli ladies turn the tables on Kadafi's pet rapist and assassin with a painful and and appropriate ending to his horrific career. Meanwhile the attack on Libyan poison gas and nuclear production is planned and executed by a combined allied task force.

Still a worthwhile read because of the author's knowledge of WW2 weapons, tactics and battles. The usual new lushly endowed girlfriend and assault by the local Red Army are also present. The action starts with Brent as XO of a destroyer and end with him back on the carrier for another epic battle with the Libyans. The plot is getting a little shopworn but the battle scenes are still worthwhile enough to keep reading this series.
