Book Description:
Navy SEAL sniper Cam Nite knows something isn't right when he watches a gigantic recreational vehicle pull onto the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge in Washington, DC. His concern escalates when he sees five more follow. The resulting blast tells him his gut is right. The bridge is gone with more attacks to come. The United States is then plunged into a power dispute it didn’t see coming as it is connected to an Iranian Commander and a high-ranking Chinese agent. China, threatened by its precipitously declining natural resources and troubled economy, seeks to knock the United States out of its world leader status—and in Iran finds the perfect partner to realize its ambitions.

This isn’t the usual type of book for me but it sounded interesting when I heard the author talk about it at a gathering for authors selling their books. I liked the Washington, D.C. location as it’s very familiar to me. Also, the story was very current and seemed realistic by using similar events to the real situation in China where they are doing military-related construction on islands in the South China Sea. It was a bit difficult reading it due to the extensive use of military and government wording and acronyms. Overall, I enjoyed it.
