I doesn't really tell a story but the girl wants a string with all these different animals on it. The poem itself wraps around like a string. Personal Reaction: While not being a poem to read outloud, it is a good poem for a child to read to themselves. The words themsleve are art. It really makes the poem stand out and I think a child would have fun reading it. Classroom Extension Ideas: 1. Have class make their own concrete poetry 2. Draw out the poem the way it is written. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Collection of poems by Michael Rosen. There are poems, ballads, limericks, and riddles. There are American, British, and Australian poems. Also translations from Chinese, Russian, and French.
Personal Reaction:
I enjoyed reading some of the poems. Many cute riddles and rhymes.
I thought it was a neat touch to have the poems in different languages.
Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. Each student is given a square shaped piece of block paper (big enough to fit their face in), write their name on the top and must write adjectives that describe themselves.
2. Poet of the week- students will be assigned a week and they get to read one of their favorite poems aloud to the class.
