I liked this book because I thought that it was a cute book to read to a classroom around springtime. The plot is engaging because the whole story has the audience believing that it is snow outside according to the fox, but it turns out to be flower petals. I also like this book for the illustrations, because they really enhance the story with giving off the painted effect and several spring colors. Before knowing the fox was really seeing flower petals I related to the story thinking about Maryland and how it snowed in the spring here, which I thought was interesting. The main message of this story is to get children excited about the spring season, and to discuss how during spring, flower petals are everywhere. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Well Fletcher the fox has seen snow and is out to warn his friends!!! Does Squirrel have enough food stored up? Do the birds need to fly back south for the winter? YOu'll have to read the book and find out.
I will remark on the text of this book--it is printed in fun ways based on the actions occurring in the book. When Fletcher tumbles down the hill, so does the text. What about when he climbs back up the hill.....the text looks on an uphill trajectory. It is fun elements like this that can keep a reader engaged. ( )
