Suspense This was an easy read about a young man’s immediate struggle to believe his brother’s death was a suicide. As he fights for the truth he learns harsh truths regarding his brother. This battle becomes quite large. There is a unique setup in this story that rallies many. I found myself thinking “ wish this would happen in reality”! Beach House was a title that had been requested by library patrons and we got it with our last few dollars of budget. Jack Mullen is a law student whose younger brother is found dead on the beach in front of ultra-rich Barry Neubauer’s beach house. Everyone wants to label it a suicide, despite the fact that Peter had been badly beaten. Jack goes against everyone, puts his life on hold, and sets out to prove that Peter was murdered. This was such a good book, that I went looking for another book by James Patterson. Wow I needed that after reading "I never played the game". I just sat here and read it straight through in a few hours. It was a quick, easy, compelling read. Patterson is a heck of an author. He writes great characters, protagonists you love to love and villains who are very easy to hate. I wouldn't call it a literary classic, but it was a fun easy read quite contrasted to my previously mentioned previous read. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
