Continuing on with the tradition of this series of having the teachers and other authority figures cast in a negative light. At best, we have the homeroom teacher who is either willfully ignorant of what goes on, or willingly putting her students in danger and the bus driver who is plain creepy. Then there is Gin, the editor of the school newspaper, a werewolf and horn-dog who tried to blackmail Tsukune. Then there is the nasty group of student enforcers who bully, abuse and maybe even kill students. Finally, we have the string of downright EVIL teachers and administrators, one being a Medusa, who was freezing students in stone, another was a molester, potential rapist and almost murderer, while the nurse was abusing her "harm none" dictum, by physically manipulating students and teachers into performing unconscionable acts. Maybe the author has issues with authority figures. On another issue, it was nice to see how the effects and abilities that come with Tsukune drinking Moka's blood. The future promises to be interesting. Continuing on with the tradition of this series of having the teachers and other authority figures cast in a negative light. Tsukune and his wacky crew are getting into my hijinks, and something dark and juicy is going on. I really love that this series has amazing illustrations, constant action and keeps me entertained. Yet it's so simple and easy to read, with all of the craziness hiding among the pages.
I'm super enjoying this series, even if it's not some mature, adult manga. The goofiness is where this book shines, and reminds me of my youth. I love the silliness and fun this manga brings. Having a group of friends battle every monster imaginable is a fun ride!
Five out of five stars. ( )
