{My thoughts} – I really enjoyed this book. I have not read this series previously to reviewing it recently for Scholastic.

Dragon is a fun character that hears a cat meowing outside his door. He tries to get it to come in time and time again but it just sits there. Eventually he picks it up and takes it in his house. He then has other issues, cause he has no idea how to care for a cat.

The words on the pages are written in an east to understand manner. The illustrations help the child to better understand the story. I think this is a great book to pick up for beginner readers. It is also a wonderful book to help show children how hard it can be to be a first time pet owner.

I've read this one three times now for work. The kids just love it. Charming illustrations and a very funny, heartwarming story. ( )

With cute colorful illustrations and simple language, the reader follows Dragon as he learns to care for his new pet cat. Warmth and humor pervade the story. Perfect for young readers (and cat lovers!) ( )

29 months - Cute young reader chapter book. Funny ending. We'll have to read this one again when O is reading. ( )
