This book is about a little boy that loves to go to preschool. He goes through what all they do during a normal day at preschool. They plays with blocks, they have music time and snack time, and they also do art. He also talks about playing with his friends. Eventhough he is ready to go to preschool in the mornings, he is also ready to go home in the afternoons because he knows that the next day he will get to come back.

I liked some parts of this book--like the kids doing their favorite yoga poses--but overall, I'm not a fan of it. One problem I had with it was how the book doesn't seem to promote understanding other people's emotions. For example: "I don't know why Melissa cries every time she says good-bye to her mother. I don't. I love to come to preschool." That just felt harsh to me. It made me think that the author is trying to "teach" kids that there's no reason to cry when their parents leave them at preschool.

But my bigger problem with this book is that it's not a story with a beginning, middle, and end. There's no problem to be solved. It's hard to stay engaged in a book without a story! ( )
