These stories' characters are various. And also these are about human interesting, and my favorite one is first story. At first, I misunderstand that this story was one long story... So, after I finished reading 1st story, I was surprised. Because I wanted reading the continuation of 1st story. However, I noticed that I can make this stories' continuation! There are five stories in this book. I like the first story the best because I felt happy after reading it. A man and his mother are the main character in this story.Especially, I like the mother. I think she is cute and Her mind is yonger than her age. I want to be such a mother as her in my future. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Arnold Bennett is famous for his stories about the Five Towns and the people who live there. They look and sound just like other people, and, like all of us, sometimes they do some very strange things. There's Sir Jee, who is a rich businessman. So why is he making a plan with a burglar? Then there is Toby Hall. Why does he decide to visit Number 11 Child Row, and who does he find there? And then there are the Hessian brothers and Annie Emery - and the little problem of twelve thousand pounds. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

But,he can't reveal it easily because he is her only son.
While he worry about various things,he is told a surprising news of her mother.
This is a first story of this book, and it warmed my heart.
The son had intended to think well about his mother, but he notices he actually thinks only about himself.
I think he became much kinder man than before after the day. ( )
