These steps include controlling your thoughts, controlling your emotions, forgiving others and yourself, understanding how you view yourself (self-ideal, self-image, self-worth), developing a heart of gratitude, and how to create your own mission statement to keep you on track during your journey.
This is not a book you just read but meditate on, work on the exercises, and use as a guide for self-growth and building a better relationship with God that will bring you more chances for joy.
This book was selected as a book discussion for college students helping them deal with emotions and self-worth. It made a good supplement after reading BATTLEFIELD OF THE MIND by Joyce Meyer which dealt with controlling your mind to control your habits to control your actions. (
