This very readable collection of poetry is illustrated with various works of art from many sources that fit the poems well. The poems themselves rhyme with irregular meter. They tell stories or make political points. There is the poem called "The Fisherman" which tells a tale of the fish that got away or rather got eaten by something else. I especially liked "The Poets Club" and the unfriendly poetess Jean. In "The Words of Poetry" he describes his view of poetry as simple words that create pictures of memories of the past or thoughts of the future which indeed his poems achieve. ( )
