I caught my 9-year-old, horse-loving child reading this book aloud to a family member this morning. To say it struck a chord with her is an understatement. To my knowledge, there is not another book like it out there--one that brings to light what it must be like for a horse to attach to a rider who will inevitably out-grow him. The illustrations are beautiful and complement the story perfectly. We are thankful for the opportunity to have received a review copy and look forward to sharing it with other young readers! ( )

Posey's problem is a heartwarming story about a pony whose riders keep outgrowing her. With every move, she leaves a piece of her heart with each child, but finds out that the children remember her as their first pony.

This is a great story that any horse lover is sure to love. The pictures are beautiful, and the story is sweet!

Posey has a problem, or at least she things she does. All the children that ride her grow up and move on to bigger horses. But Posey realizes that she carries a part of each child in her heart.
