Maybe they would be to a little kid (which is who this book is intended for) but I have a hard time believing 8 year old me would even be scared of this. I don't know, I use to watch a lot of scary stuff as a kid so I don't think this would do it. However, if you're not use to watching or reading scary stuff then some of the stories might scare you but to me they were more funny than anything.

I congratulate the author on his success, and am thrilled that he added a bibliography, notes and sources. I congratulate the illustrator on his success as well! I remembered the drawings as being far more detailed and creepy, but yeah, I am probably thinking of other books. I still really enjoyed the illustrations.
I hope these books continue to be widely read and the stories recited. ( )
