Suspense, intrigue, mystery and a love story. The ending was a complete surprise! I enjoyed getting to know Elinor and Kekoa! A definite must read! Received as an Early Reviewer. So slow moving that I took forever to read it. It wasn't the worst book I have ever read, but I struggled with getting to the end. I definitely expected a more fast paced read. Questa recensione è stata scritta per Recensori in anteprima di LibraryThing. I won an ARC from a giveaway on LibraryThing in exchange for a review.I had no qualms with any of the characters. The results of the mystery were believable. The only real downfall I experienced was this book was very slow-paced. I was expecting something fast-paced and tense. Therefore, based on Goodreads rating fashion this novel was okay. In other words, I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. Questa recensione è stata scritta per Recensori in anteprima di LibraryThing. I received Fatal Code from an ARC giveaway. I hadn't yet read book one in this series, and I just couldn't settle for starting with book two (I NEED to start at the beginning) and so I went out and bought the first of the series and binged. I had been really busy lately, so it was nice to set aside some time and really read. I enjoyed fatal code. The plot built up nicely and I thought the climax was excellent. I liked Kekoa in book 1 and was happy to find him to be the protagonist in this story. I confess that Elinor fell a little flat for me. I just couldn't get as interested in her part of the story as I wanted to be. But the overall storyline and theme of the novel was a good one. The beginning was a little slow, but as mentioned, the plot does pick up as you move on. Overall, this is a good read that I'd recommend to contemporary romantic suspense readers. I would suggest reading Lights Out first though, to get a true appreciation for book two's protagonist. I am looking forward to book 3!I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed are entirely my own. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Appartiene alle SerieThe SNAP Agency (2)
In 1964, a group of scientists called the Los Alamos Five came close to finishing a nuclear energy project for the United States government, when they were abruptly disbanded. Now the granddaughter of one of those five scientists, aerospace engineer Elinor Mitchell, discovers that she has highly sensitive information on the project in her possession-and a target on her back. SNAP agent and former Navy cryptologist Kekoa Young is tasked with monitoring Elinor. This is both convenient since she's his neighbor in Washington, DC, and decidedly inconvenient because... well, he kind of likes her. As Elinor follows the clues her grandfather left behind to a top-secret nuclear project, Kekoa has no choice but to step in. When Elinor learns he has been spying on her, she's crushed. But, with danger closing in on all sides, she'll have to trust him to ensure her discoveries stay out of enemy hands. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
