This author sure knows how to write about the underbelly of criminal activity and still make it seem romantic and dangerous at the same time. Eoghan might need to move over because it is basically a coin toss of whether I like him or Declan more. Declan was delicious. Seriously, if I could lick him, I would and therefore he would be mine. I am a little jealous of Aela. And by little, I mean, I totally am.
He was everything that I could want in a book boyfriend. Accent, check, Handsome. Check. Fierce. Check. Good dad. Check. Head over heels for his dual flame? Double Check. The story was filled with all the suspense and grittiness that I have come to expect from this author and had a very engaging storyline. I was not prepared for the twist at the end. Seamus was a treat.
I would have liked to have gotten more information about what they got from the person at the end and how it related to both the MC and Five Points. I hope those answers will come in either of those books.
Highly recommend this series and this book, to those that enjoy what feels like an authentic mob story. There is no sugarcoating here and the details showcase that. (
