Absolutely lovely. I adore this author and all of their works. This novel was nothing short of perfection wrapped up in a nice little package. (

Who knew heartbreak could transfer from a heartsick teen to a batch of brownies. It happens here and everyone who consumes one of them breaks up. What ensues is sometimes funny, more often sad and very emotional. Following Syd as they realize what's happened and try to fix things is fascinating. This will appeal to many people who aren't on the LBGTQ spectrum and who love a good mix-up coming of age tale. (

I loved the representation in this book. Syd does not use any pronouns and works in the best work environment ever - it just happens to be a queer bakery and community space in Austin. Syd bakes some brownies while dealing with a recent breakup. Then everyone who ate the brownies begins to break up. Syd tries to deal with this by creating more magical bakes to repair relationships. Syd's family is supportive even when they don't understand what Syd is going through. I thought i was pretty educated about the LGBTQA+ community, but I learned so much while enjoying this beautiful story. This book led me to reading more by A. R. Capetta. (

teen/adult queer pride romance - Syd (who is agender most of the time and who works at a queer-owned, community-inclusive bakery in Austin TX) makes a delicious but breakup-cursed batch of brownies and tries to get various baked goods into the hearts and stomachs of the people who ate the brownies, while falling for co-worker/friend Harley (gender-fluid and demisexual).

This is a simply adorable, light and breezy rom-com, I love the inclusivity and can see why the waitlist is building for this book at my library. More, more, more! (

This was a very fun book. I loved reading about the diverse community of the bakery and its customers. Syd is still figuring out and makes lots of mistakes, but he/she/they never became annoying to me like some other young adult protagonists do. The romance is sweet and since it is a young adult book, pretty clean. If you are looking for a book that has representative characters and relationships from all of the flavors of the LGBTQ+ community, give this one a try. (
