Trixie has the knack of knowing just when to jump the story ahead a bit, thus never getting boring. I am really excited over the new character introduced in this book. I have been with this series since the beginning and I have loved watching Mitzy evolve. In spite of the hard times in her life, Mitzy truly has a heart of gold, and it really comes out in this book. Secrets are revealed, and the consequences must be dealt with. She has a murder to solve, but, as always, her trusty feline Pyewacket comes forth with valuable clues. It is a real roller coaster of emotions for Mitzy as she prepares for her father’s wedding, and she reflects on how her life has changed since coming to Pin Cherry Harbor. We still get the snarky humor, Ghost-ma’s fashion advice, Silas’ mysterious alchemy, and steamy Sheriff Harper. It is hard to say more without revealing the surprises in store for the reader. Let’s just say – there are plenty of surprises in Book 11. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

I enjoyed this storyline so much. Seeing Mitzy reach out to someone who is in the position she was in as a child was so rewarding. I loved how that played out. I also enjoyed seeing her magical world expand. I cannot wait to see more developments with this storyline. Mitzy has gained a fan club in this book. I find this an interesting development that seems likely to provide some lighter moments. Erick finding out more about Mitzy was something I was ecstatic to see! I was getting a little frustrated by that as I couldn’t see how their relationship could advance until they talked about this. It was a huge secret that I was worried was going to the land of no return. I was super satisfied that it wasn’t just brushed over, too. One thing I really like about the relationship between Mitzy and Erick is how real it feels. They have ups and downs like real couples. Things that need to be worked on. All the regulars, who I love so much, are in the story, so no worries there.
For someone new to the series, my advice is to start at the beginning. Mitzy is a complex character who grows from book to book. Mysteries are solved in each book. It’s the story of Mitzy that gets carried from book to book. This story will hook you and is best read in order. The books don’t take long to read, (a good thing since you don’t want to put them down), so it really won’t take you long to catch up. It’s actually an excellent series to binge. I’m looking forward to book 12. ( )
