Sabrina is not having her best day at all, it’s Friday the 13th and she loses her job then is demanded to leave her seat at the park by an egotistical jerk that may be handsome but entirely rude. Magnus the rude hot guy then wants her as his executive assistant because he loves her fiery attitude and he is highly attracted to her but will never act on that, or so he thinks. Magnus is ex-military, wealthy, egotistical, jerk. He lives to torture Sabrina, but his work ethic is incredible, and he expects nothing less than perfection from everyone. Their banter is hilarious and fun to read, but how long and they keep fighting their attraction before it implodes? Mag comes off as cold hearted and at times cruel but deep down we see glimpses of his kindness and heart of gold that really cares about others. Even though Magnus is intensely attracted to Sabrina he refuses to act on his feelings because his father’s scandal almost ruined everything they ever had, but can falling in love win over scandal or will this be the end of something before it really happens? Mag has some things that tip him over the edge and at times he can take those out on Sabina which isn’t fair, but he knows when he always screws up and tries to make things better. Will one situation tip him too far to win her back or can things be reconciled for a happy ever after? I loved Mag and Sabrina’s story, loved their banter, and the storyline. Can’t wait for more!! ( ) Mag & Sabrina's story. He's a closed off CEO with issues and she's a superstitious sassy graphic artist. He has a no fraternization policy which of course gets broken. The book was funny and then slowed to boring, and then picked back up again. The secondary characters were more interesting: Brina's mom & dad, Mag's driver, & Ruby, the HR Director. Some slow burn that turns to romance with bumps along the way 4.5 stars One of my favorites from this author. As usual, great bantering, chemistry, and a fantastic story. There were a few elements to the story that I wish had been fleshed out (mainly the Jordan situation on all sides) but other than that I loved this grumpy boss romance. I hope that the author continues this series with some of the secondary characters. DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: My “interview” with bosshole supreme was anything but normal. He picked the worst day ever to chase me off my favorite park bench. I retaliated with a spray of cinnamon latte all over his Italian shoes. Then—for some unholy reason—Magnus Heron offered me a job. Even his name sounds like a piece of work. Guess what? He is. But when you're single, broke, and barely surviving in Chicago, you hop on the gift horse offering a six-figure salary and ride. I picked the stallion on a one-way trip to hell. It's not the impossibly long hours working under Grump-zilla. It's not the fact that he's snarly, demanding, horribly rich, and chiseled. It's not even the pesky way he makes me blush every flipping time we're together. Mag is my boss. I'm his lowly assistant. Some rules are carved in stone. That's my mantra until we're sharing a sunset too beautiful for life. Alone with wandering lips, whispered secrets, and disaster in the making. The plan was simple: punch the clock, get paid, and keep hating my boss. What's the blueprint when the office grump brings me to my knees? nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
