The "Dilbert" Sunday strips are just as good as the dailies, although Adams' artwork is so minimalist that he doesn't need the extra space for the art-room. I think I already have these strips in the other collections, but it's nice to have them all together. And I'm sure that Adams can use the extra dough. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Inside Your Accomplishments Are Suspiciously Hard to Verify, Adams tackles the subjects of Elbonian slave labor, faulty product recalls, less-than-anonymous employee surveys, and more. If you've ever looked among your co-workers and thought, "I hope feral cats eat every one of you," or briefly celebrated a well-deserved promotion only to realize that the word "promotion" now means that you're responsible for doing two jobs for the price of one, then chances are you find the corporate cubicle culture represented inside Dilbert alive and well inside your own work environment--and that's exactly what makes Dilbert so topical and funny. From Dilbert's invention of a portable brain scanner (with a popcorn microwave option) to his moonlighting as a professional corporate crime scene cleaner, Your Accomplishments Are Suspiciously Hard to Verify chronicles pointless projects, interminable meetings, and ill-conceived office policies one Dilbert strip at a time. Oh, and despite what the front cover says (and one reviewer here has just accepted as gospel) there are actually 260 strips! ;-)
This one strip actually made me laugh out loud:
WALLY (to other engineers): Here's your list of fake acronyms for the staff meeting. Try to keep a straight face when you use them.
[Team enters meeting room.]
POINTY-HAIRED BOSS (with huge stack of paper): I've got a few action items. Who isn't busy?
WALLY: I'd be all over it but I need to prepare a BTR for the CPD meeting.
ALICE: I'd love to help but this is XRP Week for the entire LBQ.
DILBERT: My spoo has too much fleem. ... What? [Alice is growling.]
[Team exits meeting room, all laden with portions of the boss' paperwork.]
WALLY: That was smooth.
DILBERT: Hey, if I could lie, I'd be in Marketing. ( )
