Spots: Counting Creatures from Sky to Sea challenges the reader to count spots on animals found all over the world. The author's playful language made me want to keep turning the page to see what animal I would encounter next. I dove into the deep blue sea with one leopard stingray and flew in the sky with ten butterflies. This book will help younger students count from numbers 1 to 10 and they will also go on a global adventure. ( )

This is a wonderful book that can be used in many subjects. It can be used primarily for teaching counting for young students. Also it can be used for ELA for rhyming words. Also it can be used for science because it has many great picture about wild creatures. My students really liked this book. ( )

I think this is just an average book. I think students who are very young could possibly benefit from this book because they can use it to help with their reading, math and science skills. This story however is just simply counting different animals with no story line which to me, can be less interesting than other stories. ( )

This book is great and incorporates both science and math. Throughout the story the reader counts from 1 to 10 learning about different animals along the way. The illustrations were bright and colorful which keeps younger readers attention. I think this book would be great for a read aloud. ( )

This is a fun counting book using spotted creatures that are from the sky to the sea. This is a creative book that describes animals that are spotted and how many are on each page. For example, "Slinking, prowling, hunting spots...two sleek jaguars". After counting to ten it reviews all the numbers from 1-10. This is a wonderful book that incorporates math, science because of the animals, and English because of the describing words for the animals spots. ( )
