You have to use the holes in the pages to go from page to page, so it's not always easy to see what to do next without 'cheating' and looking at the next page - you can easily trap yourself in the wrong place if you follow the rules strictly! ( ) My daughters and I loved maze books and the idea behind this one was good, but ultimately it was just too hard to be much fun, especially for those in single digits. We could have borne going down holes and round in circles to return to the same pages over and over again had the drawings been good, but they aren't. Fine for a one-off visit every couple of months or even weeks, but they are too brash, bold and in your face, lacking the delicasy and sublte detail that makes for really good mazes. The book is worth having, especially for older children, but lacks the magic and the humour of the Snape series. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
This game book has 11 maze puzzles, as well as several magic tunnels on each page. These tunnels are actual die-cut holes in the page which lead the reader from one puzzle to the next. The purpose of the game is to reach the treasure of Terrormazia before the evil Captain Sharkskin and his cut-throat pirates. Each of the puzzles has an intriguing name and its own particular set of rules: Tortoise Canyon, Gorilla Junction, Hissing Snake Pit, Murky Mines, Volcano Lake, Web of Woe, Billy Goat Pass, Crocodile Creek, Gruesome Grotto, Fatal Forest and Baffling Boneyard. There is more than one correct route to the treasure, so the game can be played and enjoyed a number of times. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
