Missy (short for Melissa) looks forward to Saturdays with her dad. She's been saving up, but doesn't know what to spend her money on yet. When they stop for lunch at The Pizza Corner, there's another girl in line with her dad, and the two girls become friends. When it's time to pay, Jane and her dad pay with post-it notes from the wall, while Missy and her dad pay with dollar bills. Missy's dad explains, "Each sticky note represents a piece of pizza that somebody has already paid for, like a gift or a treat." Missy decides to buy sticky notes at the counter, decorate them, and put them on the wall; mitzvah means "good deed" in Hebrew. Author's note: Rosa's Fresh Pizza is a real place in Philadelphia.
