Conor O'Shea has had enough of driving and guiding tours of Ireland. So when an opportunity to renovate and run the magnificent but rundown Castle Dysert as a five-star resort presents itself, he grabs it with both hands. But problems arise almost immediately when his business partner appears to have more on her agenda than just business. To add to that, his darling wife seems discontented as a stay at home mom, and his in-laws have moved in.With his family's future now entangled in a stunningly beautiful old castle on the coast of Clare, Conor undertakes a mammoth project, and in so doing, he uncovers the troubled past of this ancient stronghold. The mystery of the family who lived, loved, and lost their lives within the walls of the castle are reflected in his own family as they too struggle to let go of the past. Like in every small Irish village, gossip abounds. But do the ghosts of regret still haunt these ancient hallways? It is now left to Conor to explore the truth and uncover a heartbreaking lesson on the power of memory and the long threads that bind us together. In The Story of Grenville King, Jean Grainger takes you once again to the real heart of Ireland.… (altro)

Conor has been asked by Carlene to manage the luxurious hotel she plans to creat from an abandoned, derelict mansion, but it seems to be haunted. Stories of familiar characters in the series and new characters are added. ( )

"I absolutely loved this book The Story of Grenville King by author Jean Grainger. This is a take off of her first book Safe at the Edge of the World (The Conor O'Shea Series) but it can be a stand alone. There is so much good in this book. The love story of Conor O’Shea and his wife Ana and the special friendship of Conor and Corlene.

In this book Corlene gets Conor to open up a 5 star resort out of a castle that is maybe haunted. The story goes through the trials and errors of getting a castle in dire condition to that of a 5 star resort. Along the way, we have relationships in trouble, secrets from the past and mystery. Along the way we get a little glimpse of Ireland and a wonderful taste of the language. The ending was refreshing and all wrapped up. I recommend this book to everyone but I also suggest you read the Safe at the Edge of the World to get more of the back story. Both books are beautifully written and the characters are wonderful. Another great book by author Jean Grainger and I’m looking forward to more hopefully in this series." ( )
