If you feel like you've seen Amano's work around you probably have, in addition to being a long time Final Fantasy designer he has worked on a variety of shows in addition to collaborating with several Western comic book writers (Neil Gaiman's Sandman: The Dream Hunters most notably). Coffin contains Amano's contributions to the VERY long running Vampire Hunter D novel series (He serves as the illustrator). Basically- his art is breathtaking and this serves as an excellent coffee table book. If you love Mr. Amano or just "D", you probably want to own this.
