Not my favorite of Manning's books. I found the last few chapters to be the best. ( )

Very helpful read about the importance of trust at the heart of a relationship with Jesus Christ. ( )

I like some of Brennan Manning's books very much, but I never really got into this one. It's about the importance of trust in God - but it doesn't really say much.

Not a bad book - he writes in an interesting way, and I don't disagree with any of what he says. But it doesn't really add anything to his previous books, and there weren't som many personal touches to give that 'wow' factor of - say - 'Ragamuffin Gospel'.

I borrowed this; I don't think I'll be buying it, unless I see it second-hand.

Still, for anyone who has trouble trusting in God, or doesn't really understand what trust means, this might well be worth reading. ( )
