When you read an entire book in one sitting -- skipping lunch and abandoning household chores because you just cannot put the book down, then you certainly can't rate it any lower than 4 stars, no matter how far-fetched it may be.
Early on this book's plot had more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese, but I kept reading because I was just trying to figure out where it was all going. Some of those holes close by the end of the book (assuming one seriously suspends disbelief) while others linger. Sometimes I find books like this to be annoying, but there was something so utterly addictive about this one I have to admit I enjoyed it. Perhaps I was just in the mood for something completely distracting and this one fit the bill perfectly.

I initially rated this as 3.5, but honestly I keep thinking about it. I'm not even sure what I considered for the first rating, but a book that I can't stop thinking about deserves a 6. FWIW, I'm pretty sure my love of Lois Duncan books as a teen has a lot to do with this. ( )
Gobbled this book up like it was Thanksgiving. Truly does have that WTF ending that made me want to fling it across the room. But I’m reading on my iPad, so I didn’t. Can’t wait to see what Netflix does to this series. Shall be interesting. A true page turner. ( )
