Ok but trying to believe dinosaurs were really smart is very hard ( ) A clever idea with so so writing. The earth is invaded by dinosaurs that have been (sort of) hibernating on the moon since the big asteroid hit millions of years ago. The dinosaurs’ moon base is discovered and then accidently reactivated. The dinos use a laser weapon from the moon to knock out the earth’s communication facilities and military hardware and the invasion begins. The writing, however, is not up to the idea. The segment with the scientists working at the JPL to reactivate the satellite is fine but most of the writing lacks polish and the author relies too much on stereotyped characters: the absent minded professor, the plucky cowgirl heroine, the dim-witted and/or kill crazy military officers, etc. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

A U.S. space probe discovers a 65 million-year-old derelict outpost at the moon's south pole. Now the owners of the moonbase are returning to reclaim their home world--our world. In Montana, wildlife biologist Chase Armstrong and rancher's daughter Kit Daniels survive attacks by T-Rex and deadly Megaraptors to find that they are at ground-zero, where the invaders' lost city lies buried under a mountain of sandstone. Deep in the underground catacombs, trapped by human-sized, intelligent carnivorous dinosaurs, they may be mankind's last hope for survival."Solid science and pacing that never quits." --Kay Kenyon, Philip K. Dick Award nominated author of Maximum Ice"Fills the void since Jurassic Park. And, Hopp's book may be better." --Steve Brusatte, DinoLand Review Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
